Requirements for IDFA collection (iOS)
Requirements for IDFA collection (iOS)
Growth (MMP) plan measures ad performance based on Airbridge attribution model. Collecting Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) in iOS environment is essential for accurate attribution. Complete the following to ensure IDFA collection.
Provide ATT prompt
Ensure your app implements the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Only IDFA from users who consent to ATT will be collected.Set timeout for IDFA collection
Set an appropriate timeout in thesetAutoDetermineTrackingAuthorizationTimeout function in the Airbridge SDK. IDFA from users who consent to ATT is collected within this timeframe, starting from their first app launch after installation. We recommend setting this timeout to 30 seconds or longer, depending on your app’s characteristics.- See step 4 in Configure ATT prompt
Test deferred deep linkingAfter setting a timeout in the
setAutoDetermineTrackingAuthorizationTimeout function, test whether deferred deep linking works as intended. Users who launch the app for the first time after installation will be deep linked once the timeout expires. Since the timeout affects when users can access the app page, ensure that deferred deep linking works as intended.
