Airbridge supports integration with TikTok For Business. With the integration, you can view the attribution data of TikTok For Business campaigns in the Airbridge dashboard. With Airbridge, you can measure click-through attribution and view-through attribution to best understand how users engage with your short-form video ads on TikTok.
Integration with TikTok For Business
The following steps must be performed to integrate Airbridge with TikTok For Business.
1. Create tracking links in Airbridge.
2. Create an app in your TikTok Ads Manager account and register the tracking links.
3. Generate your TikTok App ID and register it to your Airbridge account.
4. Map Airbridge events to TikTok App events and send a postback to TikTok For Business.
Setting up the Non-SAN integration
![]()
Note
Airbridge has two module integrations with TikTok For Business: one works with TikTok using trackers to capture attribution information, and the other works with TikTok as a self-attributing network (SAN). This guide is about setting up the non-SAN integration. If you have already migrated your app to TikTok’s self-attribution network and want the SAN module integration, read our SAN integration guide.
Create tracking links
1. Sign in to your Airbridge account, and navigate to [Tracking Link]>[Create Tracking Links]. In the [Integrated Channels] tab, select “TikTok” from the “Channel” dropdown list.
2. Review the pre-set parameters, add new ones if necessary, and click the “Create Link” button to create tracking links.
The Campaign, Ad Group, Ad Creative, Sub-Publisher, and SubSub-Publisher 1 parameter fields are preset with the same values set for your ads in the Tiktok Ads Manager. You can make changes to the values by clicking the “Edit” button. However, we strongly advise you not to change the preset values so you can enable seamless integration with Tiktok. If you made changes to the values but want to go back to the preset version, click the “Reset” button.

Redirection path
When creating tracking links for your Tiktok campaign from Airbridge, the redirection path setting is not required. Users who click on the links will be redirected to the destination you set from the Tiktok Ads Manager.
3. After the tracking links are created, click on the tracking links to copy them. The detailed information on the tracking links can be looked up on the [Tracking Link]>[Tracking Link List] page. You can move to the Tracking Link List page by clicking the [Tracking Link List] button in the upper right corner.
Create an app in your TikTok For Business account and register the tracking links
1. Sign in to your TikTok For Business account.
2. Navigate to [Asset]>[Event] page and click the “Manage” button under “App Event”.
3. If you don’t have created an app, click the “Create New App” button. Select the OS and enter the download URL of your app. If the URL is valid, the App Icon, App Name, and App ID will be displayed, and the “Next” button will be activated. Click the “Next” button if all the app information is correct.
4. Select “Airbridge” from the mobile measurement partner list. Paste the Airbridge tracking links in the respective fields. The tracking link for server-to-server click tracking must be entered as it is a required field for creating a new app. If you don’t enter the tracking link for server-to-server click tracking, the “Next” button won’t be activated.
The tracking link for impression tracking is not required for creating a new app. However, it is advised to measure view-trough attribution for TikTok campaigns considering the nature of short-form videos.
5. Your app has been created. You can see the TikTok Ad ID and the in-app events you can track. To see all in-app events, select “All App Events” from the drop-down list. Click the “Confirm” button to complete the process.
6. If you want to change the download URL or the tracking links, click “Edit”. If you have an Android app and an iOS app, you have to create an app and register the tracking links respectively for both apps.
Register the TikTok App ID to Airbridge
The TikTok App ID is a unique code generated in TikTok Ads Manager. When you register your TikTok App ID in Airbridge and Airbridge sends a postback to TikTok, your ownership of the app will be confirmed, and the “Verified” badge will appear next to the app name in your TikTok Ads Manager.

Benefits of TikTok App ID
TikTok App ID will ensure that advertisers have control over their data while also giving access to additional features including:
- Use unattributed events for Data Management Platform (DMP) audience creation
- Use unattributed events for App Retargeting and DPA re-engagement for select advertisers
- See unattributed events size in Events Manager via a new column, "Total Unattributed Events"
- For some advertisers, verification via TikTok App ID will be required before you can make iOS 14 dedicated campaigns. If you fall into this bucket, you will see an in-product notification guiding you through the process.
1. Navigate to [Asset]>[Event] page and click the “Manage” button under “App Event”. Select your app from the app list.
2. Click “Copy TikTok App ID”. If you have both an Android app and an iOS app, you need to copy the TikTok App ID of both apps.
3. In the Airbridge dashboard, navigate to [Integrations]>[Integrated Ad Channels] and select “TikTok”.
4. Select the [Postback] tab and select the [Integration Info] sub-tab. Paste the TikTok App IDs in the respective fields and click the “Submit” button.

Caution
When manually mapping an Airbridge event to a TikTok For Business in-app event, the same user action may be reported differently. For example, if you map the “Initiate Checkout (App)” event in Airbridge to the “Place an Order” event in TikTok, the checkout actions of the users will be reported as the “Place an Order” event in TikTok For Business.

TikTok postback settings
Enable postbacks by switching on the "In-app event postback" toggle. By using postbacks, you can enrich your data in TikTok Ads Manager and drive insights to optimize your campaigns and create new target audiences. The Airbridge events sent to TikTok Ads Manager are reported as TikTok events in the TikTok Ads Manager as per mapping configured in the TikTok event mapping list. Click “Edit” to change the mapping and add or delete event pairs.

Caution
When you switch on the “TikTok MMP integration” toggle and enter the TikTok App ID, all install events and deep link open events are sent automatically to TikTok Ads Manager without the need for event mapping. This is a default rule and can’t be changed.
After you click “Edit”, click “+ Add Event” to select an Airbridge event to map it to a TikTok event. To change the events in the mapping list, click on the events and select a new event from the drop-down list. Click the [minus] icon (”-”) to delete an event pair.
When you add an Airbridge event that has a “Preset” badge to the mapping list, the pre-mapped TikTok event will automatically appear. See the table below for the preset mapping of Airbridge standard events and TikTok in-app events.

Preset event mapping
We advise you not to change the preset mapping of Airbridge events and TikTok events, as the preset mapping best serves the purpose of accurate data collection.
You can map multiple Airbridge events to a single TikTok event. For example, if you map three different Airbridge events to the “Archive Level” event in TikTok, like the image below, all three events will be reported as “Archive Level” in your TikTok Ads Manager.
Cost Integration
Airbridge supports cost integration with TikTok For Business. Airbridge users with Owner or In-house Marketer roles or users with authorized Agency roles can view the cost and touchpoint data of TikTok campaigns in the Airbridge dashboard. Follow the instruction below to set up the cost integration with TikTok For Business.
How to set up
1. In the Airbridge dashboard, navigate to [Integrations]>[Integrated Ad Channels] and select “TikTok”.
2. In the “Cost Integration” tab, switch on the “TikTok Cost Integration” toggle and click the “Log in to TikTok For Business” button.
3. Log in to your TikTok For Business account in the pop-up window.
4. Decide the level of access you want to give Airbridge and click the “Confirm” button. If you want to track the cost and touchpoint data of your TikTok campaigns in Airbridge, check all four items.
5. Select the TikTok For Business ad account you want to integrate with Airbridge and click the “Complete” button.
6. Now the TikTok For Business ad account you selected will be listed on the cost integration page in Airbridge. The “Waiting” sync status will appear until the next data sync time, which could take up to four hours. If your TikTok For Business ad account is verified within the next four hours, the cost data will be synced, and the sync status will change to “Active”.
Cost data synchronization
When the integration is successful, Airbridge updates the TikTok cost data every four hours at 12 AM, 4 AM, 8 AM, 12 PM, 4 PM, and 8 PM every day. This may cause discrepancies between the data you see in your TikTok For Business account and the data in the Airbridge dashboard.
The data you see in Airbridge is the data for the last seven days. You can see the last sync time in the “Cost Integration” tab.
Integration status
Status | Description |
---|---|
Waiting | You logged in to your TikTok For Business account and granted Airbridge access to your ad account data. Waiting for the cost data to be synchronized for the first time. |
Active | The cost data is synchronized, and “Last Sync Time” is updated every four hours. |
Warning | No ad campaign active for the last seven days, including the current date, and thus no cost data to synchronize. |
Error | - No response from TikTok For Business API - The access granted to Airbridge has been revoked - The integrated TikTok for Business account is deactivated - Login information doesn’t match TikTok for Business’s record due to a change in password, etc. - TikTok for Business’s Access Token has expired |
Disable cost integration
Switch off the “TikTok Cost Integration” toggle to disable cost integration. Data synchronization is suspended from the moment the cost integration is disabled. All data sent to Airbridge before disabling the cost integration will remain in Airbridge.
Even if you switch off the TikTok Cost Integration toggle, the ad account information will remain in Airbridge unless you delete the account from the list. When you switch the toggle on again, the account information will be automatically restored without having to log in to your TikTok for Business account.
Delete an integrated account
If you have integrated with the wrong account or you don’t run campaigns from the ad account you integrated with, click “…” and click “Delete” to delete ad accounts from the integrated account list. If you want to reconnect with the account you have deleted, repeat the cost integration setup from the start again.
If the TikTok cost integration was unexpectedly suspended or your TikTok ad account has been deleted, click “Update history” to see the last update date.
How to view data
You can view the TikTok cost data in the Actuals Report and Trend Report. The cost data are campaign-level or ad group-level data. You can

In the Actuals Report, there are two click metrics and two impression metrics. For example, as for clicks, “Click” means click data collected by tracking links you created in Airbridge. Whereas “Clicks (Channel)” means the number of clicks tracked from the ad channel, which is reported by the ad channel and updated every four hours through API integration.

Unspecified ad account name
If a user has not specified the ad account name in the TikTok for Business dashboard, Airbridge receives null value for the Ad Account ID in the table above. If you apply the Ad Account ID GroupBy in the Actuals Report or the Trend Report, there may be an empty column.
By configuring the metrics and GroupBys like the image below, you can see the TikTok cost data by ad creatives, along with other ad channel cost data.
Notes
Currency and time zone
To minimize the data discrepancy, align your app’s currency and timezone settings in your Airbridge account with those of the TikTok for Business dashboard. The “Cost (Channel)” data you see in Airbridge follows the currency and time zone settings of your TikTok For Business account.
Campaign, Ad Group, and Ad Creative name
After the cost integration is enabled, we advise you not to change the Campaign name, Ad Group name, and the Ad Creative name of your TikTok campaigns after the cost integration.
Missing cost data
The Cost (Channel) data will be shown only if the Channel, Campaign, Ad Group, Ad Creative, Campaign ID, Ad Group ID or Ad Creative ID GroupBy is applied. If you apply GroupBys that are not related with Channel, Campaign, Ad Group or Ad Creative, you will not be able to see the Cost (Channel) data.
Agency Setting
![]()
Note
The Agency Setting is a beta service and is only available for users who have activated the SAN integration in Airbridge. For more information, please contact your CSM.
In the “Agency Setting” tab, you can grant some permissions to access your TikTok for Business account. Airbridge users with Owner or Marketer permissions can allow agencies to view their TikTok for Business data.
Users with Agency permissions can view the integration status and information, and add ad accounts for cost integration or delete them. Check their user type in [Settings]>[User Management].
How to set up
1. In the Airbridge dashboard, navigate to [Integrations]>[Integrated Ad Channels] and select “TikTok”.
2. In the “Agency Setting” tab, click the “+ Add Agency” button.
3. Select the agency you want to grant access permission. Agencies that already have access permissions won’t appear in the search results.

Q. For how long is the TikTok campaign data available in Airbridge?
User-level data received from TikTok from the integration is available for six months in Airbridge starting from the point of time the attribution was reported. After six months, the data won’t be available for raw data export, which is in accordance with the privacy policy of TikTok For Business. Apart from this data-sharing policy, you can view all campaign data in Airbridge reports without any restrictions.
Q. Can I have the view-through campaign data in raw data?
