This page answers common questions about creating new tracking links, organized by topic. For the basics, see Understand Tracking Links and Create Tracking Links in the Airbridge Dashboard.
It depends on the type of tracking link. Tracking links for integrated channels have no character limit per parameter. Tracking links for custom channels allow up to 128 characters per parameter.
Yes. You can only use letters, numbers, and the special characters . - _
When you create a tracking link for an integrated channel on the [Link Generation] page, parameters such as Sub-Publisher and SubSub-Publisher 1 are added. These parameters are pre-agreed between the channel and Airbridge to receive the values the channel provides. You can change them, but we recommend using them as is.
The Airbridge App mode you select when creating an app determines which redirect paths you can set for tracking links. Refer to the tables below for the paths available in each mode.Production mode (apps released or soon to be released)To set deep links, see Apply Deep Links to Tracking Links.Development mode (testing, staging, or other apps not measuring performance)
If you don’t add any UTM parameters to the web URL entered as the destination, Airbridge adds them automatically when redirecting users. This applies to the web URL for each platform and to the fallback web URL used when deep linking doesn’t occur. If you added UTM parameters yourself, only those remain and no others are added.
If you delete a column in the Generator Template, tracking links can’t be generated properly. If you have many unused columns, we recommend hiding them with [Hide columns].
You can’t enter values in the gray cells in [Change parameters]. To enter a new parameter value, first delete the existing tracking link in [Create Tracking Links], then create it again with the new value. The change is then reflected automatically in [Change parameters].
