About Airbridge Tracking Links
An Airbridge tracking link is an all-in-one link that serves as both as a linking tool to redirect users and a tracking tool for attribution. When they are clicked on, tracking links enable users to reach their desired destination in the app depending on the platform, channel, and situation. It also helps to analyze and attribute the source of user conversions such as link click, post-click install, and post-install purchase.
Types of Channels
Integrated channel refers to a channel officially linked with Airbridge in a way of S2S-type postback, which includes all the lists that appear on the [ Integrations - Integrated Ad Channels ] page of the dashboard.
e.g) Moloco, Appier, Remerge, etc
If you want to generate a tracking link for advertisement execution on integrated channel, you must generate a link with selecting a certain channel in integrated channel
Custom channel refers to an Owned Media or Earned Media channel which are not officially linked with Airbridge, such as e-mail, SMS, blog post, and SNS post. You can enter any channel name by freely when you create a custom channel.
Campaign Optimization Parameters
To set the campaign optimizing parameters, you enter certain data to define channel, campaign, advertising group, keyword, media, and etc, that will be associated with the tracking link. For Integrated Channels, you can check the resulting link in real-time through the right preview screen after entering a parameters. Note that we only support real-time preview for links created in Integrated Channel.
You can set the final destination of users who clicked the link to one of three destinations including app market, within the app (deep link), or website.
If you want to induce users to download your app, you can set the app market as a final destination of the user.
The tracking link redirect users to the Google Play Store if the user uses an Android device or to the Apple App Store if the user uses an iOS device. If needed, you can also select a web URL by directly entering the web URL.
Lastly, users who use desktop would be redirected to the website URL. In this case you have additional options to redirect users to the Airpage or Google Play Store.
App (Deep Link)
In this case you set a certain page within the app as a final destination of users.
You redirect the users to the path in the app by entering the URL Scheme-typed deeplink composed of scheme, path, and key/value.
To use the deeplink correctly, the default information must be registered first in the [ Tracking Link - Deep Link ] page of the Airbridge dashboard.
Also, to redirect the user successfully to a certain page in app, the app must be installed previously. Otherwise the user could be redirected to other destinations by setting a fallback path.
This case is when you set the website as a final destination of user. You can set different URLs in Android, iOS and Desktop environment.
Campaign Attribution Parameter
Re-engagement parameter could be set as OFF or TRUE or FALSE and the attribution result according to each parameter follows.
- OFF: Almost every normal advertising/promotion campaign uses OFF. The touchpoint in this link is attributed to install event and in-app event both.
- TRUE: Used for re-engagement campaigns for installed users. Touchpoint generated by the tracking link is attributed only to in-app event, not to install event.
- FALSE: Used for UA campaigns targeting uninstalled users. Touchpoint generated by the tracking link is attributed only to install event, not to in-app event.
Social Media Thumbnail Setting
You can only use it when you create a tracking link used in Custom Channels
With the social media thumbnail setting, you can modify the open graph tag which enables a preview of the links. You can check the preview immediately once you are done with the modification.
When the tracking link generated with the modified open graph tag is shared on social media or 3rd party shares it on other messengers, you can still manage the preview to be shown in your own purpose.
You can find more information about Social Media Thumbnail from this link.
