DeepLink Plan - Understanding Tracking Links

Using Airbridge tracking links in your campaign is one of the ways Airbridge can collect campaign data. Continue reading to learn about the essential functions of tracking links and the additional features supported by Airbridge.

Tracking links have 2 essential functions, which are:

  • Collecting touchpoints

  • Redirecting users to intended destinations

When a user clicks an ad with a tracking link embedded, click data is collected, and the user is redirected to the configured destination.

A typical use case of the tracking link would look like the following.

A typical tracking link looks like the following:

  • https://abr.ge/@app_name/channel_name?parameter1={parameter1 value}&parameter2={parameter2 value}

By adding parameters to the tracking link, additional campaign data can be collected, or users can be redirected to specific destinations.

If you want to learn more about the tracking link structure and parameters, refer to this article.

Note

The custom domain and social share preview configuration options are available to all Airbridge users, regardless of their contracted plans. The tracking links you create under the DeepLink Plan is equivalent to the Custom Channel tracking links described in the user guide articles linked below.

The tracking links come in a long link version, a short link version, and a QR code version, so you can choose from them to meet your marketing needs. For consistent and effective branding, we recommend using a custom domain and setting up the social share preview when creating tracking links.
