# Sending Audiences to Ad Channels

<Note>
  **Create audiences first**

  Before you send audiences to ad channels, create the audience you want to send. For details, see the [Create Audiences in Airbridge](/en/guides/create-audience) guide.
</Note>

Airbridge sends audiences, updated once a day, to ad channels through connections. An audience that updates regularly can serve as the target for new ad campaigns.

## Ad channels you can send audiences to

Airbridge sends audiences to the following 14 ad channels.

* Meta Ads
* Google Ads
* TikTok for Business
* Naver
* Kakao
* Braze
* Criteo
* RTB House
* Appier
* Remerge
* Cauly
* Persona.ly
* Daangn
* Adikteev
* Adison Offerwall

<Info>
  **Note**

  Braze is a third-party platform, not an ad channel. Note the following differences:

  * Set up the Airbridge SDK before you add a Braze connection to an audience.
  * Braze External ID or Braze Device ID is sent as the audience identifier instead of the advertising ID.
</Info>

## Check the estimated audience size

The estimated audience size tells you whether an audience is large enough before you send it. It is calculated by sampling 10% of the users that match the audience conditions, so the actual size may differ from the estimate. To recalculate the estimate, go to **\[Audience Manager]** in the Airbridge dashboard, open the **\[…]** menu to the right of the audience, and select **Recalculate**.

The recommended audience size for each ad channel is as follows.

| Ad channel | Recommended audience size |
| ------------------- | ------------------------- |
| Meta Ads            | 1,000 or more             |
| Google Ads          | 5,000                     |
| TikTok for Business | 1,000 or more             |
| Criteo              | 100,000 or more           |
| Daangn              | 1,000 or more             |

<Danger>
  **Attention**

  If the audience you send is smaller than the recommended size, it may not be delivered properly.
</Danger>

## Send audiences to ad channels

To send an audience to an ad channel, create a connection, add the connection to the audience, and configure the delivery settings.

1. In the Airbridge dashboard, go to **\[Audience]>\[Audience Manager]>\[Connection]** and click **Create a connection**.
2. Select the ad channel to send to and authenticate it. For each channel's authentication method, see the relevant channel integration guide.
3. Go to the **\[Audience]** tab and click **Add connection** in the **\[Audience Delivery]** column.
4. Configure the following:
   * Platform: required for some ad channels. The selected platform determines which audience identifier is sent.
   * Audience name: the name shown in the ad channel. The default has an `abr-` prefix.
   * Audience identifier: the identifier sent to the ad channel. The advertising IDs GAID and IDFA are the defaults.
   * Delivery cycle: Airbridge updates and sends the audience daily at 1 AM KST (Korea Standard Time).

<Note>
  **When is the audience sent?**

  Airbridge starts sending an audience as soon as you first add a connection to it, then sends the updated audience once a day. The time Airbridge sends an audience and the time the ad channel can use it may differ, because the ad channel further selects which users to target from the audience it receives.
</Note>

### Braze prerequisites

<Note>
  **This setup requires code changes. Ask your developer for help.**
</Note>

To send audiences to Braze, set up the Airbridge SDK first. Because Braze is a third-party platform, not an ad channel, Airbridge uses Braze External ID and Braze Device ID as the audience identifiers instead of GAID and IDFA. For SDK setup instructions, see the [guide](/en/developers/braze#sdk-setup).

## Connect ad channels

Ad channels use one of two authentication methods to create a connection. The authentication method and the information to prepare for each channel are as follows.

| Ad channel | Authentication method | Information to prepare |
| -------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok for Business, Kakao, Criteo | Authorized account sign-in | An authorized account with access to the ad account |
| Adikteev | Authorized account sign-in | Authorized account email and password |
| Braze | Connection credentials | Data Import Key, Endpoint |
| Naver, RTB House, Daangn | Connection credentials | Account ID, API Key |
| Appier, Adison Offerwall | Connection credentials | API Key |
| Remerge | Connection credentials | Client Path, S3 Access Key ID, S3 Secret Access Key |
| Cauly | Connection credentials | Android dutCd, iOS dutCd |
| Persona.ly | Connection credentials | Android API Key, iOS API Key |

### Channels that sign in with an authorized account

Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok for Business, Kakao, Criteo, and Adikteev create a connection by signing in with an authorized account that has access to the ad account. The ad account is the business account run on the ad channel, and the authorized account is the individual account granted access to the ad account.

* Meta Ads: Sign in with the authorized account, click **Continue**, select **Opt in to current business only**, **Airbridge**, and **Opt in to all current and future Pages**, then click **Save** and **Confirm**. Select the ad account and click **Create**.
* Google Ads: Sign in with the authorized account, click **Allow**, then select the ad account and click **Create**. The authorized account's access level must be Standard or Admin.
* TikTok for Business: Sign in with the authorized account, click **Confirm**, then select the ad account and click **Create**.
* Braze: Enter the Data Import Key and Endpoint.
* Criteo: Sign in with an authorized account that has Administrator permission, click **Approve**, then select the ad account and click **Create**.
* Adikteev: Enter your email and password and click **Create**, then select the ad account and click **Create**.

<Note>
  **Note**

  For Kakao, it can take up to 6 hours after you create the connection for the audience to be created in Kakao Moment.
</Note>

### Channels that enter connection credentials

Naver, RTB House, Appier, Remerge, Cauly, Persona.ly, Daangn, and Adison Offerwall create a connection by entering connection credentials.

* Naver: Enter the Account ID and API Key. Find both values in the Naver GFA platform.
* RTB House: Enter the Account ID and API Key. Request both values from RTB House.
* Appier: Enter the API Key. Request the API Key from Appier.
* Remerge: Enter the Client Path, S3 Access Key ID, and S3 Secret Access Key.
* Cauly: Enter the Android dutCd and iOS dutCd.
* Persona.ly: Enter the Android API Key and iOS API Key. You can create a connection even if you enter credentials for only one operating system.
* Daangn: Enter the Account ID and API Key.
* Adison Offerwall: Enter the API Key.

<Danger>
  **Attention**

  For Remerge, send the Final Path that appears after you enter all credentials to your Remerge account manager.

  For Cauly, one dutCd sends only one audience. To send multiple audiences, issue multiple dutCds.
</Danger>

## Check the audience delivery status

Check the delivery status of each audience and connection through status messages. In the Airbridge dashboard, go to the **\[Audience]** tab to check the status per connection for each audience, and the **\[Connection]** tab to check the delivery status of each connection. For a status that needs action, see Resolve delivery issues.

The audience-level status messages are as follows.

| Status              | Description                                                                                                               |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Waiting | Airbridge is preparing to send the audience. |
| Success | The audience is being sent successfully. Airbridge updates the audience daily at 1 AM KST. |
| Incomplete delivery | Fewer users were delivered to the ad channel than Airbridge sent. |
| Re-authenticate | An error occurred with the authorized account or the connection credentials, so some audiences were not sent. |
| Reconnect | The audience was not sent because the ad channel cannot find the audience information or the audience name is duplicated. |
| Action required | The audience was not sent because a required setting was not completed in the ad channel. |
| Send again | The audience was not sent due to an ad channel error or another error. |

The connection-level status messages are as follows.

| Status              | Description                                                                                 |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Waiting | There are audiences being prepared for delivery. |
| Success | All audiences are being sent to the ad channel successfully. |
| Incomplete delivery | There are audiences where fewer users were delivered to the ad channel than Airbridge sent. |
| Failed | There are audiences that failed to send. |

## Resolve delivery issues

The cause and resolution for each status message are as follows.

### Success but 0 users sent

No users may match the audience conditions at the time of delivery. In the Airbridge dashboard, go to **\[Audience]**, check the estimated audience size, and change the audience conditions if it is 0. Because Airbridge sends audiences daily at 1 AM KST, setting the period to count only the current day may send only the users counted between midnight and 1 AM.

### Re-authenticate

An error occurred with the authorized account or the connection credentials. In the Airbridge dashboard, go to **\[Connection]>\[Action]>\[Re-authenticate]** to update the credentials.

* Meta Ads: In the Meta Ads dashboard, check that the audience that failed to send does not violate Meta Ads audience operation policy.
* Google Ads: In the Google Ads dashboard, go to **\[Admin]>\[Access and security]** and check that two-step verification is set up and the access level is Standard or Admin.

### Reconnect

The ad channel cannot find valid audience information. In the Airbridge dashboard and the ad channel, delete the audience and the connection, then create them again to reconnect. If the audience name sent to Kakao or Criteo is duplicated, delete and recreate them the same way.

### Action required

A required setting was not completed in the ad channel.

* Meta Ads: In Meta Ads Business Manager, accept the Customer List Custom Audiences terms.
* Naver: In the Naver GFA platform, go to **\[Tools]>\[Audience Management]>\[My Data Targets]>\[Customer Files]** and delete unnecessary customer files. You can register up to 30 customer files.
* Kakao: In Kakao Moment, delete unnecessary audiences and customer files. You can register up to 50 audiences and 50 customer files.

### Incomplete delivery

Fewer users were delivered to the ad channel than Airbridge sent. Open the **\[…]** menu in the connection's audience delivery list and click **Send again** to resend manually.

### Send again

The audience was not sent due to an ad channel error or another error. Airbridge automatically resends it within 24 hours without any action from you. To resend immediately, open the **\[…]** menu in the connection's audience delivery list and click **Send again**.

* Google Ads: Check whether the audience can be used under Google Ads policy. If it cannot, contact Google Ads directly.
* TikTok for Business: After you send an audience, TikTok for Business can take up to 48 hours to finish updating it. Until then, the delivery status shows **Send again** in Airbridge.

## Audience delivery failure notifications

When an audience fails to send, Airbridge sends a notification email. The email goes to the account that created or most recently authenticated the connection, the account that added the audience to the connection, and the app's Owner account.
